After the fellowship leaves Lothlorien in their elf-boats, they make camp on the banks of the river Anduin, near Amon Hen. There, all Mordor breaks loose.

As LOTR fans are aware, Boromir began exhibiting strange and suspicious behaviors after leaving Lothlorien. He had previously argued that, rather than destroying the One Ring, the fellowship should give it to the Stewards of Gondor to use it against the brewing powers of Mordor. Boromir was a good man and his belief that the Ring could be used instead of destroyed was not born of selfishness but, rather, of his honorable intent to fight the powers of evil.
